THE PIRANHA BROTHERS

These four superb Anglo-French musicians have decades of musical experience between them. They love to breathe new life into forgotten classic rock and blues tracks from the 60s, 70s and 80s – and not the obvious ones!

With an energy envied by many younger musicians, nothing makes them happier than seeing their audience crowd onto the dance floor from their first notes.

They play songs by Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Free, Deep Purple, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Neil Young … and are constantly growing their repertoire. At a recent concert, the Piranha Brothers paid tribute to the Beatles, dedicating a set to the Blues and Rock of the legendary band, with numbers like Hey Bulldog, Yer Blues, Back in the USSR, Come Together and While My Guitar Gently Weeps plus many others. This was greeted with huge enthusiasm, the packed audience demanding 3 encores!

Two British musicians and singers living in Finistère, Bryan Cox (bass and voice) and Richard Sattin (guitar, keyboard and voice), joined veteran drummer Gérard Macé and guitarist Christophe Petit to create this group in 2016.

They are at home playing on any stage or setting, from festivals (Fest Jazz of Chateauneuf du Faou, Guilligomarc’h Blues Festival) to the more intimate venues (The Spot in Spezet, The Poitin Still in Quimper … ), their greatest pleasure being to share their music with all fans of Blues, Rock (and Funk!) in Brittany and beyond.

“… These musicians ignited at least three generations thanks to their muscular revivals of blues-rock classics” – Le Télégramme
